Alaina was a thriving baby never would we have imagined her heart was working so hard. At 6 months old at her well baby visit her pediatrician heard a heart murmur and sent us to a cardiologist the next day. At that appointment we were told she had pulmonary stenosis- a type of congenital heart defect. We had a heart cath done on July7th and were told devastating news that it was much more complicated than they first thought and she would need open heart surgery. We found a surgeon that specializes in her condition but he is in California at the Lucile Packard Childrens Hospital (part of Standford). Alaina is scheduled for open heart surgery on September 15th and we are seeking donations for her medical and travel expenses. Prayers for my little girl as she starts her journey to mend her heart are also much appreciated. We have a facebook group called "Prayers for Alaina" that you can search for.
